Britney's 2009 tour: The Circus Starring Britney Spears, with special guests The Pussycat Dolls

Global superstar Britney Spears announces her world tour, to hit the UK on the 3rd and 4th of June at the O2 Arena. These are the only European shows on the world tour circuit – so demand will be phenomenal and fans are advised to act fast.
Presale tickets can be obtained by fans who register on Britneyspears.com and via SMS from Wednesday 26th November. Text BRITNEY to 81707 to be registered. Fans who log their details via sms or online will receive a unique passcode which will enable them to purchase tickets the day before the masses. The fan’s presale starts at 9am on 4th December – 24 hours ahead of the general onsale on Friday 5th December.
Britney’s sixth studio album, “Circus”, was released on December 1st, which coincides with Spears' 27th birthday. “Circus” is a follow-up to her critically acclaimed album, Blackout. For her latest effort, Britney has enlisted a stellar group of established producers/writers that include Dr. Luke (who wrote and produced the album's title track, "Circus"), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Bjork).

The “Circus” is coming your way. On her 27th birthday on Tuesday, pop princess Britney Spears performed her new hit single “Womanizer” on the ABC show “Good Morning America.” This venue also served her podium, where the singer announced that she will be back on tour after a five-year hiatus.
Despite hugely publicized controversies that Britney has encountered so far, be it her mental illness, divorce or her son’s custody battles, she has managed to spin things around and gain control of her personal life and career. Now, she has made a comeback and released her latest album titled “Circus”, which made its debut on Tuesday.
The road tour for Britney’s latest album will begin from March 3 in New Orleans with Pussycat Dolls as the guest performer. She will then perform at Banknorth Garden on March 19 and at Mohegan Sun on March 26.
The tour will go across 27 cities in North America, which include Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It will end in Chicago on April 28.
This tour would be significant in Britney’s career ahead. The singer is putting all her efforts to it and will be starting her rehearsals in January.
The tickets for Britney’s North American tour will begin selling on December 6, Saturday. It will be produced by the live entertainment company AEG and will be directed by Wade Robson. Robson will also choreography 1/3rd of the performances during the tour.
As the North American tour ends, Britney will continue to make other performances. She is already confirmed to perform at the O2 arena in London on June 3 and 4 next year.
“Circus” is Britney’s sixth studio album. It was in May when rumors for a new album arose. Jive records officially announced the album “Circus” on September 15, 2008. The first single on the track and the album’s debut single “Womanizer” took the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The last time Spears’ had a number one single on this chart was in 1999 for the single “Baby One More Time.”
